Growth Through Acquisition
At the present time Orchard is actively seeking to acquire new projects, primarily in California, that could provide a good fit with both its operational and technical expertise. In addition to growth, Orchard also seeks to diversify its asset base into known California producing trends.
Our main areas of interest are in the southwestern San Joaquin Basin between Lost Hills and Tejon Pass, although properties in other parts of the basin would also be considered.
What We're Looking For
Key acquisition criteria include the following:
- Proximity to our Belridge operations (yellow square, right)
- Operatorship
- Multiple well potential
- Low to moderate risk
- Upside potential
- Production.
Trend Focus
Orchard's expertise lies primarily in the Eocene through Pliocene trends along the west side of the basin. Reservoirs of particular interest include the San Joaquin, Etchegoin, Monterey, Stevens, Point of Rocks, Cameros, and Vedder.
